Tulsa Youth Rowing Association Achieves Medal Haul To Finish The Indoor Rowing Season

Athletes from the Tulsa Youth Rowing Association earned top places at indoor rowing races in Topeka, KS, and Oklahoma City, OK, over the past couple of weekends.

Varsity athlete Emma Reynolds, topped the rankings at the Shocker Sprints held on February 9th with a personal best time of 7:32.9. This was also the fastest time of the day beating all of the collegiate athletes entered. In addition, Reynolds again topped the rankings in the 500m sprint with a time of 1:44.1.

The club was also successful at the OKC Riversport Erg Challenge held on Feb 16th earning a medal haul of three golds, one silver, and five bronze medals.

“I didn’t expect to win a gold medal today but I came into this race today hoping to improve my personal record. I was surprised to win the gold and I am proud to represent Tulsa Youth Rowing Association. I’m thankful to Coach Tamara and my team for their help and encouragement!”, said Everette Ballard of his personal best effort.
