WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR BASIC TRAINING

ONE OF THE BEST YOUTH PROGRAMS IN TULSA

Our basic training provides the perfect opportunity to try the exhilarating sport of rowing for a couple of weeks for FREE. Located on the beautiful river, students will experience the thrill of competition, get in touch with nature, make lifelong friends, and discover if rowing is the right fit for them without any early commitments.

Swim Test Information

We are partnered with the YWCA located at 1910 S Lewis Ave #200, Tulsa, OK 74104. The YWCA has offered to allow basic training participants the chance to get a Swim Test administered between 5 pm and 8 pm on weekdays, just walk in with the required form printed off.  The cost for the swim test will be $10.

The Benefits of Rowing for Young Athletes

Choosing to embark on a rowing adventure this Fall is a unique and challenging sport that offers many benefits for young athletes, including:

BASIC TRAINING DETAILS

Sign up for our FREE two-week basic training session! This session is meant to introduce the sport of rowing to prospective athletes. ZERO experience is required for this session! Our coaching staff will provide all of the training, both on land and on the water, so that your athlete can try the sport out before signing up for our competitive team.

This camp will take place at our Boathouse in Tulsa at the River West Festival Park, and at the University of Tulsa’s Boathouse in Catoosa, OK (Roger’s Point Park).

We will be on land (in Tulsa) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm, and on the water on Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:00pm-7:00pm, and Saturday morning from 8:00am-10:00am.

Please wear fitted athletic clothing (NO COTTON), and bring water bottles, sunscreen and sunglasses to each session.
