Nashville, TN – The Percy Priest Sprints concluded with a spectacular display of rowing prowess on the picturesque waters of Percy Priest Lake. Held on April 6th, 2024, this celebrated regatta saw regional teams come together, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and athletic skill. The Tulsa Youth Rowing Association stood out among the competitors, navigating the challenging courses with precision and vigor. The event showcased the thrilling sport of rowing and highlighted Nashville’s community spirit and stunning natural surroundings.
Halee McMahan (Booker T. Washington) won first place in the women’s youth singles, closely followed by Emory Oakes (Lincoln Christian). Later, these two athletes paired up in the women’s youth double and won the silver medal.
Leighton Warren (Homeschool) placed 2nd in her heat and finished 4th overall in the womens youth singles.
Jacob McKinney (Bixby) and Sam Derricott (Owasso) placed in the silver medal position in the mens youth pair.
Leighton Warren and Natalie Digiacomo (Broken Arrow) placed 1st in their respective heat of the women’s youth double.
