Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors Offers Basic Training for High School Athletes

The Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors are looking for motivated and committed high school aged athletes to join their nationally recognized competitive program.

The program is offering two basic training camps each one week long in preparation for the 2011-12 season. The first camp runs from Aug 15-19 and the second camp runs fromAug 29-Sept 2. The basic training session will take place at in Catoosa, OK due to low river levels in the downtown Arkansas at this point in time.

Sessions will run Monday through Friday from 4:15pm to 6:15pm. The cost for the basic training is $100. Interested participants can register for the training by clicking this link.

Participants in the basic training will learn rowing technique, boat handling and safety aspects to the sport in preparation for competitive events this fall. An informational video showing the activities of the basic training week can be viewed on the homepage of the junior’s club website.

The Tulsa Rowing Club facilitates competitive and recreational rowing for youth and adults. Competitive youth and club teams compete throughout the Midwest and on the national level. The team regularly competes on the national level and athletes are successful in gaining college scholarships at universities all over the US.
