“This is an exciting development for the club, these athletes performed at an exceptionally high level and represented Tulsa exceptionally well,” said Head Coach Neil Bergenroth. “Credit goes to the athletes and varsity coaches Micah Hartwell and Brock Turner for all of their hard work and dedication helping develop these athletes to this level.”
“I am really proud of what these guys accomplished,” said Coach Hartwell of his crew’s performance.
The club now looks forward to a trip to the UK where a team of ten will compete at English regattas and have the chance to qualify for Henley Royal Regatta. This is the first time in the history of the event that a group of Oklahoma high school athletes will compete on UK soil.
