The Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors well represented at the OKC Riversport Ergometer competition

The Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors were well represented at the OKC Riversport Ergometer competition on February 11th. By the end of the day, the team had won a total of 8 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

At the start of the competition the team won gold, silver and bronze in the junior men’s openweight category. Warren White (Cascia Hall), Cody Shafer (Union) and Baruch Price (home school) took the top three spots. In addition club coaches Neil Bergenroth and Micah Hartwell won gold in the men’s openweight masters and men’s lightweight masters events respectively.

Madison Davidson (Jenks) won a gold medal for the junior women’s lightweight competition recording the second fastest time of the day for a junior women.

The club also won a gold medal in the junior women’s novice lightweight category as Holland Hall Sophomore Emily Hyde won in an impressive time of 8:15. Following her in second place was Juliana Baluh (Cascia Hall).

Alex Workman (Union) continued the impressive run by taking gold in the men’s junior novice lightweight in a personal best time of 7:03. He was closely followed by teammates David Maxwell (Edison) and Mikey Shrier (Marquette) who took the bronze medal and 4th respectively in the same category.

Sarah Mailot (Bishop Kelley) won the junior women’s coxswain event. In addition, Dan Vinyard (Cascia Hall) and Garrett Allen (Union) took Gold and Silver respectively in the junior men’s coxswain event.
