In order to serve the community to an even greater degree, we currently have the following fundraising initiatives.
Boathouse
In January of 2016, the Tulsa Rowing Club was burned as a victim of an arson attack.
TYRA is trying to raise funds for use of a new boathouse being built by the Tulsa Rowing Club on the Arkansas River. As Tulsa’s youth rowing program, TYRA looks forward to welcoming Tulsa’s young athletes to the new facility as we row on the Arkansas River once again.
If you would like to donate to this effort, you may use donate button on this page. Any donations for this purpose will go to TYRA for use of the boathouse – e.g., build-out of youth-specific portions of the boathouse, and not to the Tulsa Rowing Club.
gROW Tulsa – Outreach Program
TYRA has plans to create outreach that will allow student-athletes from many social economic backgrounds to participate in rowing. Additionally, the gROW Tulsa program will feature access to academic and college counseling support for those involved.
After the pilot program is complete and is successful. TYRA plans to develop programs that allow for the following groups to be served.
- Adaptive rowing programs
- First responders
- Veterans
Coaching
Our coaches are a vital part of our community. We need your support for professional development of our current coaching staff and to provide the means to hire additional well-qualified coaches to help run our programs.
Equipment and Capital
In order to ensure that we can grow, our fleet is continually in need of maintenance and upgrading. Your donations will help us provide the best equipment for our student-athletes.
