Tulsa Youth Rowing Hosts Free Youth Rowing Clinic, Dec 3rd

Tulsa Youth Rowing Association is offering a free rowing clinic for youth ages 13 to 18 on Saturday, Dec 3rd, at The University of Tulsa from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The clinic is geared toward middle and high school students interested in learning more about rowing and how they might get involved in our community youth rowing program.

This is a clinic for beginners, grades 7th-12th. Please wear athletic clothing and sneakers and bring your water bottle for this clinic.

This is a free clinic.

You must sign a 2022 US Rowing Waiver release for your child to participate. We will send this paperwork to the email you register with closer to the time of the event.

More Information

The clinic will be run by Great Britain Junior National Team Member, Division I Athlete, and USRowing Level III Coach Neil Bergenroth. Coach Bergenroth will be assisted by the coaching staff and athletes of the Tulsa Youth Rowing Association.  

Neil has led the Tulsa Youth Rowing Association to success and growth on a National and International Stage. Neil brings 35 years of experience in the sport, and currently serves as outreach coordinator.

The clinic is free, and the clinic’s primary goal is to teach rowing fundamentals that help improve technique and performance on the Concept2 rowing machine. Students will learn rowing fundamentals and play fun games to further their understanding of science and rowing technique. 

At the end of the clinic, there will be a discussion about our program initiatives and how participants can take the next steps to be involved in our competitive and recreational youth programs. We invite parents to join this discussion starting at 11:45 am. 

Participants are under no obligation to commit to joining the team or any program following their participation.
