TYRA Alumni Fall Racing Success

Some of our alumni continue to pursue rowing at the competitive level in college along with rigorous academic schedules. We are pleased to bring news of success from some of our alumni at the most recent Fall rowing events.

Are you an alumn of TYRA or TRCJ and have an update and photos? Then please send to neil@okrowing.org, so we can spread the good word!

Chase Antonnaci

Chase is pursuing a major in cognitive neuroscience at Wash U in St. Louis. This past fall, Chase’s crew won a gold medal at the Head of the Oklahoma in OKC in the men’s collegiate eight. However, his crew did not stop there and rowed to a bronze medal at the Head of the Hooch (the second largest head race of the US racing season). Congratulations to Chase and his crew, we look forward to good things in the spring!

Hannah Hammond

Hannah is pursuing an economics degree at OU. She rows bow seat of the OU 3rd varsity eight. Her successes this fall include a 4th place finish in the women’s collegiate eights at the Head of the Oklahoma. Her crew finished 3rd in the night sprints that evening. In addition, Hannah rowed to a 7th place finish in the Jayhawk Jamboree and a 3rd place in the sprints in that event. Way to go Hannah!

Nicole Baumann

Nicole is currently studying Political Science with an emphasis on International Affairs at OCU. Her crews had a successful Fall placing 3rd in the women’s quads at the Head of the Oklahoma. Also, Nicole placed 10th at the Head of the Hooch in a four. Great work Nicole!
