Dear Supporter of Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors,
I am writing to ask for your support of Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors to become the first crew in history of the club to compete in a series of regattas in the United Kingdom, including Henley Royal Regatta, in summer 2013.
Last month we announced our goal to represent Tulsa as we feel strongly that this is a worthwhile undertaking and would be very significant milestone in the development of Oklahoma rowing. We are kindly asking for your financial support and partnership as we undertake the fundraising and organization of this trip. We estimate that we will need $60,000 to subsidize a proposed three-week trip. At time of writing we have already raised $30,000 so are well on the way to reaching our goal. However, we need your support to make this amazing opportunity a reality for our club.
Our student athletes will have the chance to compete the following regattas.
– Marlow Regatta
– Women’s Henley Regatta
– Reading Town Regatta
– Henley Royal Regatta.
This is the first time in the history of the regatta that a juniors crew from Oklahoma will be represented at these events. This is a huge step for our program
The budget for the trip is around $90,000 and so we are putting a major effort toward fundraising to help subsidize this trip.
