Announcement For Future Plans for Tulsa Youth Rowing Association.

Due to the restrictions of physical distancing protocols imposed on us at the current time, we are working hard to formulate a plan to reopen the club at some point in the future.

We plan to host a learn to row clinic in August to initialize our recruitment and interest in summer camp programming. Following this, our current tentative plan is to hold three or four one week camps around the August timeframe to allow more distance from COVID-19 to serve as introductory sessions as we prepare to launch our 2020-2021 season which we hope will commence in late August/early September.

Many athletes choose to do several of our summer camp weeks and add on to the previous weeks learning.  After the summer camps, student-athletes will have two options;  Our gROWth recreational program and our Competitive team.  Our gROWth team meets 2-3 days a week and is strictly recreational and for fun.  Our competitive team practices five times weekly and travels to Austin, Dallas, Littlerock, Natchitoches, OKC, and Wichita for Regattas.

If you wish to be contacted about our free learn to row clinic, or wish to know how to register for our summer camps in August (should current safety protocols allow for this), please use the form linked below or contact us at info@okrowing.org

In conclusion, this is a tentative plan, and we remain committed to the safety of our athletes, coaches, board members, and all of their respective families. We will get through this difficult season and we look forward to your support and working with you to provide more rowing opportunities for the youth of Tulsa.
